BIO
Walton is a civil litigator licensed in North Carolina and Virginia who helps businesses and individuals find solutions to complex and challenging commercial and construction disputes. Through a clerkship for the Honorable Michael F. Urbanski in the Western District of Virginia and five years of experience as a commercial litigator, Walton understands the nuances of all phases of civil litigation. Walton successfully navigates plaintiffs and defendants through litigation involving contract disputes, professional negligence, M&A, trademarks and trade secrets, derivative actions, business torts, fraud, 42. U.S.C. § 1983, and a variety of other the matters that our clients confront.
Walton is a solutions and outcome oriented litigator who tailors litigation strategy to the specific needs, goals, and resources of clients. He strives to find cost-effective solutions to complex problems.
Walton graduated cum laude from University of Richmond Law School, where he received a concentration certificate in Intellectual Property and earned the ABA/Bureau of National Affairs, Inc. Award for Excellence as the top Intellectual Property student in his class. He holds a B.A. in economics from Hampden-Sydney College in Farmville, Va. and attended high school at Woodberry Forest in Orange, Va.
Walton is an avid skier and outdoorsman who enjoys spending time at a family farm in Southern Virginia. Walton enjoys grain agriculture, timber management, and wildlife conservation.
