MEREDITH HILLER

BIO
Meredith is a civil litigator who focuses on counseling and litigating business disputes.  She has represented individuals and organizations in a wide range of subject areas, including real estate and construction matters, employment disputes, insurance litigation, and negligence claims, among other matters.  She has broad experience, including pre-litigation counseling, efficient use of discovery during litigation, dispositive motions, and settlements.

Meredith also has handled several appeals, including in the North Carolina Court of Appeals and in the North Carolina Supreme Court.  In one such appeal, Meredith obtained an affirmance of the trial court’s decision in the intermediate appellate level and a successful dismissal of both a petition for discretionary review and the underlying appeal in the North Carolina Supreme Court.

Before joining Rosenwood Rose, Meredith worked at an insurance litigation boutique in Washington, D.C., where she represented corporate policyholders seeking to recover on high-dollar claims against insurers.  There, she helped secure multi-million dollar settlements with various insurance companies on behalf of her clients, litigated coverage cases, and regularly advised clients regarding their coverage options.

Meredith holds a law license in North Carolina.  She is a proud graduate of Wake Forest University and the University of Virginia School of Law.  During law school, Meredith was a member of the Employment Law Clinic, where she teamed up with a local attorney to assist in the litigation of employment law cases.  Outside of the office, Meredith enjoys spending time with her husband and three young children.
