NANCY LITWAK
BIO
Nancy has experience in a broad range of civil litigation matters, but focuses primarily on construction and business and commercial litigation, including fraud claims. Her experience includes the representation of contractors, design professionals, and homeowners in construction disputes; product manufacturers; retail and other commercial store owners and businesses; developers; individuals who have been personally injured; individuals and businesses undergoing contractual and business disputes; individuals who have been defrauded by business partners or other individuals and businesses; and individuals who are trying to either enforce or get out of restrictive covenants (such as non-compete provisions).
Nancy’s experience ranges from pre-litigation negotiation and compromise, to the initial stages of litigation, through discovery and depositions to the summary judgment and trial stages.
Specifically, Nancy has recently been successful in obtaining summary judgment in a multi-party construction dispute for her architect client. Nancy recently helped two separate clients obtain jury verdicts and judgments after two-week-long jury trials concerning business and fraud disputes. Last year, Nancy obtained an arbitration award on behalf of a client in a commercial breach of contract matter.
Nancy holds licenses in both California and North Carolina.
Prior to joining Rosenwood Rose, Nancy worked for Hamilton Stephens Steele + Martin, PLLC, here in Charlotte, where she engaged in the same work. At the outset of her career, Nancy worked for Haight Brown & Bonesteel LLP, a civil defense litigation firm in Orange County, California, where she focused on design, manufacturing, and warning defects; breach of warranty claims; personal injury claims; and business and contractual disputes.
Outside of the office, Nancy enjoys cheering on Alabama football and Georgetown basketball.
